Question by Utopia: how do you restore marble counter tops to remove dull and water marks?
we had beautiful marble counter tops and I used those Clorax cdisinfectant wipes on them. They turned dull and really flat looking, what can I do to fix this. Its like I ruined the gloss on them?

You need to be careful, the white surface is only a coating, see the attached link.

You can restore to its original luster.
That original finish was put on there using 2000 grit wet paper and sanded wet. Then it was polished with polishing compound to a luster.
Both of these products can be bought in an Automotive paint store for less that $ 10 total. I would try using the polishing compound first to polish it up. The 2000 grit wet paper is for taking out scratches to be followed by the polishing compound for the luster finish.
