Our kitchen is very outdated and all it needs is new counter tops and paint. My husband seems to think this will be a HUGE project. How hard is it to put countertops in and how do you do it? Thanks!

Laminates are fairly easy to install.You need to apply them slightly larger than the counter and get what is called a laminate trimming tool. Because the adhesive used for laminates is very strong,once it is down you can’t shift it.You may even be able to rent this tool from your home improvement store or where you purchase the laminate.

we had beautiful marble counter tops and I used those Clorax cdisinfectant wipes on them. They turned dull and really flat looking, what can I do to fix this. Its like I ruined the gloss on them?

I’ve read that when knitting tops that it is better to use 24″ long needles. However, 24″ needles are circular needles.
Is it better to knit tops using circular needles? (Even if the pattern doesn’t call for circular needles)?

I prefer my 13″ straight ones. I had a slightly shorter pair (they were likely 12″ or 12.5″) and they worked fine, too. The 9″ ones are too small, but anything around 12″ to 14″ works just fine.

I have friends who prefer knitting tops with circulars, but I stick to my straights for the most part. After knitting the whole thing on straight needles and sewing (or crocheting) it together, I’ll switch to circulars to do the neck, but that’s all.

I have a christmas ball coming up soon, and was looking for a place that sold and delivered dresses to the UK, as I’m having a hard time finding places selling NICE dresses!

I’d inevitably have the dress tampered with alterations wise (a bit cut off the bottom, sides to make it all fit nicely!) so I’m not too fussed about online buys… I was just wondering if anyone knew where nice, elegant, floor length (not ball gown!) were online.

There are several things to think about on this topic.

What are the countertops made of?
Laminated tops are commonly on wooden substrates and could be screwed down.
Solid surface tops are commonly glued down but may also have a wooden substrate and be screwed down.

Either way you will probably need help to remove the larger parts. You will also need to make sure you have a way to dispose of them( dumpster, truck to dump).

All in all it is not a very hard DIY job, you should have very little problem doing it.

wash with using your soap for dishes, most cut the grease. i actually used it on my polyurethane wood floors – they came out great – got rid of the grease

DO NOT WEAR SKINNY JEANS!!! I’m 15 and I personally think skinny jeans are gay. Wear regular jeans or slim even. I wear southpole shirts and hip hop shirts cuz I’m a fan of hip hop. Idk just wear whatever u like
